The cold winter season is definitely upon us, with snow and smells of Glühwein on almost every corner, it means it’s time to come back together for one final time for this year to celebrate each other and what we’ve accomplished over the year 🙂

A big shout out to our new incoming BoT Handler, Ueli, who will be the new local face and support for the community here in Bern. Give him a warm welcome all! 🙂 And already a huge community love and thanks to JB who has held the fort for a long time, and wish him all the best with new adventures and endeavors. He will still remain a friendly face to the community there 😉

As promised last month, we have a final Dojo workshop now available to sign up for, having limited space, so thus operating on a first come first serve basis, with priority for our official DC4131 Members.

In this edition, we invite you to explore and experience the worlds of lock picking and soldering (#BadgeLife), being hosted and taught by our valued community members, Vratko, Salvatore and Pascal. This really is something not to miss, and who knows where these newly acquired skills may come in helpful….. 😉 More details of the event can be found in the above link. We hope to see you there!

A Key Date For Our Members Diary! On Saturday 18th September we will be hosting another annual round of the DC4131 hike, with a backup date of 25th September (weather dependant), which has always been real good chilled fun, embracing the outdoors, good chatter and chilling BBQ & drinks for the prize at the end. More details will be released in due course to our DC4131 members (as this is a members only event), so if you´re not a member yet, what are you waiting for?!   😉

We will also be kicking off the new year with a bang, with well renowned info-sec practitioner Tobias ‘floyd’ hosting the DC4131 Dojo in January diving deeper into fuzzing code. Not one to miss for you code breakers out there! 🙂

A further heads up! We have the 3rd iteration of our Defcon Dojo happening this month. We feel these events are gaining good traction and providing useful opportunities for people to get hands on experience with topics and technologies not normally otherwise encountered. This month we have the honor of having our very own El President, Adrian,  will be bringing all the goodies surrounding the Teensy project (https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/). The usual side of lock picking and mini drone flying plus more also 🙂
